I'm having trouble running my subbies through the amps but im am sure its a earthing fault and possibly headunit problem ived recently cut the factory ground to the deck to get power directly from the battery which cured the problem the first time but now im trying to get the second subby going on another amp but when i have it hooked up im getting a pulsing bass thump at intervals of 0.4 secs and its very loud and annoying when i disconect the rca's the thumping stops immediatly and i dont know what to do since this has happened i've put an earthing wire to my head unit but this time im stuck and running both subs on the one amp i want more power, anyone got any ideas i'll give anything a shot as long as its within reason. I've had allot of expirience with car radios amp and the rest of it installing for the boys around town but for myself i got kinda stuck this time lol i think my kenwood deck of ten years has finally had it and its time to move on but i would really like to know how i could resolve this problem if there is any ideas. Ive measured the ohms between the deck and the rca output ground like a website showed i should be within an ohms mine showing around 20 ohms i think it might be the end of the road for the kenny i'm spewing cos i just bought a stacker for it not long ago and it's been sweet for the while i've had it. hope to get some fedback or ideas on fixing the sitch.

I have 2 amps a 800 watt subby amp and a 600 watt 2 channel amp bridged to the subby. The problem is only when i have the subs on either amps and it then effects both subs but when i leave just the 800 watt amp its ok but the 600 watt amp is no good with a single sub or both connected. The 800 watt becomes affected once the 600 watt is used. :hypno:

i dont have a problem runnig both subs on the 800 watt amp but i think it could give a bit more bass running 2 amps sorry i didnt reply correctly first time i thought i wrote this in my first post i was trying to put it anpother way in previous post Very Happy
Thought i'de add the names of the amps and specs the 800watt is actually 300 watt rms my mistake its been a while since i've put in car stereos lol and the brand name is US-Audio model usa300zx and the 600 watt amp is a 2x300 watt continuous not sure on the rms im guess between 220 and 250 watts rms and its a Audioline Al-1600 with a super bass switch. As i recall i had this probelem in a previous car with a different amp and different sub which entales the headunit needs a change i just wanted to know if there was anything i could do with it, but by now im guessing not.

Anyway i figured that i should go to town and get a new HU and pack up the old kenwood HU and stacker, so i bought a us audio HU with mp3 usb radio and memory card which i probably will never use but hey it cost me 100 bucks and i am happy. Hooked it all up split the series connected subbies up and put the rca's through both amp and let it rip good clear sound but i think next step is getting an equallizer cos the decks equallizer presets arent fancy enough but i am happy and that's all that matters thank for your help Max and R.I.P. kenwood HU lol. :towel:
