(Phoenix, AZ) - MTX Audio, the leader in high performance mobile audio products, announces Kaitlin Young as the next MTX MMA fighter to step into the cage against Gina Carano on EliteXC’s CBS Saturday Night Fights debuting on May 31st at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. This will be a historical show for Mixed Martial Arts as the first time the sport has been broadcast live on network television. The event includes a lone women’s MMA bout between MTX MMA fighter, Kaitlin Young (4-1), and Gina Carano (5-0) in a co-main event bout. With her aggressive style and Muay Thai background, Young brings a unique and explosive style to the cage and it is set up to be an exciting match with Carano, as both have extensive striking pedigrees.
MTX took notice of Young after she dominated an eight-woman tournament put on by BoDog Fights in November 2007. In that tournament, she won all three fights within the first minute of the first round. Young joins other great fighters like Kimbo Slice and Robbie Lawler on this historic fight card. This will be Kaitlin’s first fight in EliteXC.
Mixed Martial Arts continues to grow its mainstream acceptance as represented by the sport being broadcast on network television and becoming more popular among female athletes. MTX knows that Young will push the pace of the fight and represent herself and MTX with a never give up, hard hitting attitude.
MTX fighters are both up and comers, title contenders, and titleholders in various M.M.A. organizations. Visit www.mtx.com or www.myspace.com/mtxaudio for up-to-date information regarding the MTX M.M.A. team. _________________ Thank You,
