Friday, April 27, 2007 -- Arlington , Va., -- The Consumer Electronics Association’s Mobile Electronics Committee announced the publication of CEA-2015, Mobile Electronics Cabling Standard. The standard defines size and performance requirements for power and speaker cabling used in mobile electronics applications, including reporting requirements for cables meeting the standard. Using the appropriate cable for mobile entertainment systems will ensure systems work properly and achieve maximum efficiency.
CEA-2015 is the third standard in a mobile electronics standards suite, which also includes CEA-2006-A, Testing and Measurements Methods for Mobile Audio Amplifiers, the amplifier measurement standard and CEA-2031, Testing and Measurement Methods for Mobile Loudspeaker Systems, the loudspeaker measurement standard. If all three standards are used together, consumers will be able to choose the amplifier that will work best with their loudspeakers and cables that will ensure efficiency and performance.
“Broad implementation of this standard will ensure that consumers are able to choose the appropriate cable for the mobile electronics applications they wish to install in vehicles,” said Jack DeBiasio, OEM project manager, Scosche Industries Inc., and co-chair of CEA’s Mobile Electronics Committee.
The Mobile Electronics Committee is co-chaired by DeBiasio and Jim Tranchina, vice president of engineering, Audiovox Corporation. Participation in CEA standards activities is open to companies and organizations with direct and material interest. CEA membership is not required to participate. _________________ X-MAX CAR AUDIO

bump and lurk
Grant each one a wish
Osama Bin Laden, a Canadian, and President Bush were walking down the street when they saw a golden lamp. They rubbed it and a genie came out and said, "I will grant each one a wish that’s 3 together." The Canadian said, "I am a father and my son will be a farmer so I want the soil in Canada to be forever fertile." The genie said the magic words and the wish came true. Osama looked amazed so he wished for a wall around Afghanistan the genie said the magic words and again the wish came true. President Bush said "Genie, tell me more about this wall," the genie said,”It’s 50 feet thick and 500 feet tall so nothing can get in and nothing can get out." President Bush said,”Wow! That’s a big bridge...Fill it with water!!!
