i don't know whats going on but there is something blocking the cd from inserting .there is a white plastic bar in the way,is it a security device ? or is my deck broke

I would personaly think its a secuity device, maybe tugg on it a little bit, hopefully you know your strength and don't brake it. if it dont move, take it back to where u got it and ask for a new one?

Akware, never heard of something like a cover over where cd is entered. I know one time i made my own cd label one for a cd and when i put it into cd player it made the insides really sticky and cd's wouldnt eject, but ive never heard of this problem. To me this most defentiley sounds like a bad deck, if you have a warranty and what not on it take it back and get it replaced right away. If not well try to take something and remove it, but dont go so hard like gangsta said otherwise you could end up making situation worse. Anyhow best of luck, id reccomend using some tweezers or something like that to try and remove it or push it out of way, if the deck is working fine then cd should beable to work if the thing is removed. Also one last option I would say would to look at manual for cd receiver and see if there is ne thing about a security device. Anyhow best of luck, hope this helped.
