I got the whole speaker wire thing for the LOC but i'm a little confused about the remote wire. how do i hook that up so the amp doesnt stay on?

One of the power wires to your head unit is the "remote wire". It receives power whenever the ignition is on. It is essentially the remote wire to your head unit. Splice your remote wire into that.

The only downside is that even when the radio is turned off, and the car is on, the amp will still be on.... but I don't think thats a real big deal.

If you dont want to do that for whatever reason, then just use a switch and connect the main power wire to the switch and use the switch to turn the remote wire on/off. I did this in my Taurus for a while, and conneted the switch to the Head Unit also, so I could use the stereo without my keys.... kinda stupid idea now that I think about it :bang:

i solved my own problem a friend told me to just put the remote wire to the fuse box the fuse that says radio it works perfectly
