|
|
a setup like this:
headunit under seat, 12v and remote wires to the positive post under the hood, fused, and a switch for the remote wire.
speakers to head unit, tweeters and mids.
rca's to amp, subs to amp.
amp 12v to positive post, fused.
will use a terminal for all the wires to the battery,
Would this work, IF I DIDN"T UNHOOK THE FACTORY STEREO, would there be any problems?
-i wouldn't use the factory stereo.
-wouldn't turn on the factory stereo.
Thanks for all the help you can give me. |

You need to disconnect the factory unit from the factory speakers. What is the point of wanting to install an audio system in this manner? _________________ X-MAX CAR AUDIO

I don't want to use the factory system at all, that includes the factory head unit, and the factory speakers.
I don't want to disconect the factory system, factory head unit, and factory speakers.
But, I Do want to install an aftermarket, HU, aftermarket speakers, aftermarket amp, and aftermarket subs.
there would be no problems? if i didn't disconnect the factory stereo, it won't be turned on.
thats what i was asking.
the reason, don't want to tamper with the factory stereo.
thanks for the help guys. |

Seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through just because you dont want to remove (upgrade) the factory audiosystem. You basically will have to wire in you own system ( power& ground for the HU and run all the speaker wires fron the front to the rear and also into the doors. Oh.......wait a minute,....where are you mounting your aftermarket speakers if you're not using or replacing the factory speakers? :bang: _________________ X-MAX CAR AUDIO
