The Mitek group of audio companies - MTX, Coustic, Xtant and StreetWires anchored one corner of the North Hall at the SEMA Show 2005.
A wide range of stunning demo vehicles once again filled in around the MTX Road Semi.
Big news at SEMA for MTX was the new partnership with Fly-N-Hi.
Fly-N-Hi announced that they will begin to sell audio and video products in their off-road and suspension modification retail stores in the Phoenix area. Fly-N-Hi has been in business for more than 25 years and has a reputation for building some of the best on-road and off-road Jeeps and trucks around the country.
Mark Dye, President and Founder of Fly-N-Hi stated, “With the partnership with MTX Audio and their reputation for high performance audio, we now have the ability to take our stores to the next level, a one-stop shopping experience.
Whether it’s for the weekend toy, daily driver, or tow vehicle, many of our customers increasingly ask for audio and video. We are now their one-stop facility for all custom fabrication, lifting, lowering, diesel and gas performance products, along with adding audio and video.”
Loyd Ivey, Founder of MTX Audio said, “I have known Mark Dye for more than 20 years. He and his team have fabricated many of our trade show displays, and also built many of our award-winning show vehicles. I have spent many hours out on the desert with Mark and his Off-Road racing team. We are both serious gearheads, and we both love music. It just made sense to take our business and friendship to the next level by partnering to create the one-stop shopping experience and bring the MTX Advantage to Mark’s loyal customers.”
Both Mark Dye and Loyd Ivey are icons in their respective industries, having each taken a niche category and helping grow it into a major industry.
Mark Dye started as a counter man for an off-road center before venturing out on his own as one of the first monster truck builders. He soon became known for building and fabricating everything from rock crawlers to trophy trucks. Mark is recognized throughout the U.S. for pushing technology and fabrication to the cutting edge. “The vehicles that I build look good, but are also fully functional – if not, they aren’t worth my time,” said Dye.
Loyd Ivey began building speakers in his garage more than 30 years ago, has built MTX into one of the leading high performance home, car and professional audio companies, and also serves as Chairman of the Consumer Electronics Association. “If it goes fast, or plays loud, I am not very far away,” summarized Ivey.
In the future, Fly-N-Hi plans to expand the Total Performance Center concept through their new Internet site and to several other markets nationwide.
