All I have to say is woah run-on sentence. First of all I assume your talking about max wattage on the 3 poweracustic subs not RMS watts. RMS is how many continious watts it can handle and you should get an amplifier that matches that number.
The 10,000 watt sub made by kicker is called the Solo X i think. And powering that would be a nightmare. How much are you willing to spend? What is it's use? is it going to be used for competitions or just daily driving. |

Running a Solo X in a civic would mean about 5K+ worth of audio and electrical gear. Including some massive amp(s) (Maybe hifonics XX?) and an HO alternator or 2, plus a few batteries, and one massive box I immagine.
to provide help about the subs, we need to know what the RMS rating is, and what the voice coil configurations are (how many ohms). _________________ RIP the "GhettoTaurus"

the sub is the 18 inch solo x. 10,000 max, 5000rms. They are offered in dual 1 or dual 2 ohm configuration. they need a massive box to play in 10cu ft. vented and 12 sealed. hope my two cents helps :thumb: _________________ boom, boom, pop, smoke, sizzle |

yes i am talking about max watt with the 3 2600watt Power Acoustik subs. and i was thinking of just buying 3 3000 watt power acoustik amps but how would i hook them all up i went out and got a 160 watt alternator for my civic cuz the 85 watt one is no help and a Stinger Power SPV70 Battery is siting in my car now would that help out or would i need more im new to this so i want to learn as much as i can.
The 10,000 watt Solo X S18X by kicker would be the only thing i need in it but i have no idea how to power that money well lets say ok 5,000.00 i can do that i put 21,000 just in the body so why not make ever thing nice i dont want no half ass car. and for the size of the sub i will take out the back seat and make the box custom out of fiberglass my self and rap the inside in Dynamic so i dont get no vibs going on
So what would you do go with the 3 2600watt Power Acoustik subs or go with the 10,000 watt Solo X S18X by kicker they both have power but i want the best i can get this car is 100% for show i drive it like once a week out side of school and i hear the subs made by kicker are good for rap muisc
I would like to kno all the parts i would need to hook up eather system or i can just hook up both and blow my windows out |

truthfully you may want to look into a 12 or 10 inch solo x if you want kicker. In a ported box the 12 and the 10 both handle 1500 watts. _________________ boom, boom, pop, smoke, sizzle |

I've only heard mostly bad things about Solo X's, and that they sound horrific, (L5's and L7's too). But a pair of Solo X 12''s would still be pretty darn loud.
I'd say your best bet is to go with another brand other than power acoustic or kicker, and get something along the lines of 4 10''s, 3 12''s, 2 15''s. Whatever you can fit and would think would look cool. Hell you could do 8 8''s, that would be pretty kick-ass.
I'd look into maybe some higher line Audiobahn if you want some showy subs (i don't care what anyone says, those chrome flame baskets look awesome), possibly some higher line Alpine, Brahma and RE (resonant engineering) are relatively cheap high-performance brands, as is DD (digital designs). They're cheaper than comparable subs, and are very excellent subs, but less heard of.
Xmax actually has 3 very high performance and quality amps for sale. 3 US AMPS, amps. 2 subwoofer high power amps, and 1 4 channel amp. I beleive the 2 channel amps do 2000 X 4 ohms bridged, and the 4 channel amp is 4 X 300 @ 2 ohms. He's selling them for 1800 which is a lot lower than what you would normally find them for. It would power almost any set-up you could get, but you'd probably want about 3 extra batteries to power those monsters, and 180 amps might not be enough.
Look around this and other forums, and look at what some other top-dollar systems are running. I'm not saying Solo X's or power acoustics are horrible, but for the money I think there are better sounding subs. _________________ RIP the "GhettoTaurus"

Mixing different sized subs gets interesting, and complicated.
Although I've always wanted to do it. having a few 8'' or 10''s and then a single 15'' or 18''.
You would handle it like a component speaker, with a midrange and tweeter. Which means you would seperate them with a crossover. That means that you send the higher bass notes to the 8''s or 10''s, and the low bass notes to the 15'' or 18''. Although I have no Idea how well it would work out, and unless you really know what your doing, it probably won't sound better than a pair of high quality 12''s.
I'd say sticking to a single size would be smarter. Like I said earlier, 4 12''s or 4 10''s,or a pair of 15''s would be what I would do.

4 of these might be nice.

These are my personal fav. 4 of these would be pretty awesome. They probably sound like crap, but they're loud.
Or we have the Alpine Type X high-SPL woofer.

You can check out RE.

Here is a good alternative to a Solo X.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18805&item=5788349173&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
Of course the Solo X and/or L5/L7 would also be a good choice, they are popular and have that showy quality, as does audiobahn. SE or DD would performance oriented. You can also stick with JL, but you'll want to get those from a local dealer, and they get rather pricey.
As far as amps goes, it really depends on the subs you get. But you'll want a big monoblock class D amp. Hifonics would be my choice, they're a cheaper alternative to most other high-power amps, and deliver good power. Check them out.
these are their high power competition amps, they can get expensive though
These are their cheaper street banging amps. Well known on these forums to provide the best bang for the buck out there. Amazing power at Amazing prices (yes they actually do put out that much power).
For the install your going to want a spool 'o' large wire (1/0, maybe bigger). And a battery isolator for the extra battery(s) you get. Then yes, a distro block for the 2 or 3 amps you'll have.
Also to remember to get some good component speakers to balance out the massive bass you'll have. _________________ RIP the "GhettoTaurus"
