Omega Patents, L.L.C., formally announced it has successfully reached an agreement with Precision, which will license a bundle of Omega’s patents to produce and distribute certain vehicle remote control products.
Omega Patents, L.L.C is the owner of a broad portfolio of U.S. and foreign patents relating to vehicle remote control devices. Precision has obtained a non-exclusive license under nine different patents issued to Omega in the United States.
"This licensing agreement between Omega and Precision will enable Precision to focus on the development of leading edge designs of vehicle remote control systems utilizing a window receiver, incorporating the status light and coded valet switch, and reducing the installation time with reduced alterations to the vehicle dash by having holes drilled to install the status light and valet switch," said Gregg, President of Precision Engineering Industries, Inc.
"We are pleased that Precision sees the value in our patented technology, and as a result, consumers and installers will have access to the best innovative designs in our industry," said Ken Flick, Omega Patents, L.L.C.’s primary inventor and owner. "We feel our industry will aggressively pursue remote systems with this window receiver/status light/valet switch feature design, and we will protect our valuable intellectual property rights while continuing to work with only selected leaders in the field."
