I need the pinout for a 16 pin Kenwood wiring harness, I need the wire color and which
pin it connects to on the plug. (KDC-716S)
Thanks,

Nope they dont have that info, they have the wire colors and what they are for but not
the pins that they connect to on the plug.
I have looked at the harnesses for sale on E-Bay but they all show the same side but I
have no idea of the arrangement of the wires on the other side.
Maybe someone has a harness and can give me the info.
Thanks for your reply,

What about going to CC or BB and just taking a peek at the harness without opening the bag? _________________ 2003 Audi A4 1.8T

You know that never occured to me , although I did call a couple of stereo shops and
was told they did not have that info. They farm their repairs out .
But I'll do what you suggested and go to B Buy and see what I can find out.
Thanks,

Sorry for the very old thread bump, but for those of you who need this info, I present to you:
Kenwood 16-pin Connector Pinout!
ftp://docs.kenwoodusa.com/pub/ref/7009CON.PDF
The correct pinout is the second rectangular plug on this page, and the diagram displays the wiring as if you were looking at the connector head-on with the wires facing away from you. The retaining clip molded into the connector should be facing to the RIGHT when looking at this diagram.
Enjoy! |
