The new series of Window Mounts from PanaVise Products, Inc. offers installers a wide variety of professional mounting choices for secure, but temporary, installation of mobile electronics including satellite radios, MP3 players, and GPS units.
Each mount features a powerful suction cup that attaches securely to any smooth, flat, non-porous surface, including windshields and windows. Five distinct mounting options are available: Model 809 for CCTV cameras used with in car video (surveillance) systems; Model 809-AMP for AMPS-compatible electronics; Model 809-BLP for Blaupunkt's America SR04 satellite radio receiver, Model 809-TS for electronics with standard T-slots; and Model 809-PG for hand-held electronics such as MP3 players, iPods and GPS units.
"We believe these are the first mounts of their kind," states Gary Richter, president. "They are unique products that allow secure installations without the need for permanent mounts. They're also very easy to use."
The overall length of each mount is approximately 5 inches; the suction cup diameter is 3.4 inches. The mounting end features full adjustability with 210-degree tilt and 360-degree rotation (maximum recommended weight tolerance: three pounds). The arm has a vertical motion of 140-degrees and is ratched to prevent "flopping." The manufacturer's suggested retail price ranges from $34.95 for Models 809, 809-AMP, 809-BLP and 809-TS to $49.95 for Model 809-PG.
